I'm afraid I'm not the most exciting of company right now, but you're free to do anything you wish. My home is yours.

[read like him, watch TV, take a shower, hell, even make himself coffee. Jakurai will settle himself back on the couch with his book, legs outstretched - he's comfortable, and isn't afraid to show it.]

[He follows Jakurai into his living area....back to the couch. He doesn't need Jakurai to be exciting company. Just...company.

After a moment of indecision....he's going to flop over on the couch. Head in Jakurai's lap.

[it's definitely surprising to have Doppo put his head in his lap, but, well, if it's what he wants? it's what he gets. healthier than drinking coffee, and it doesn't interfere with Jakurai's life. in fact, he's happier to have him close.

almost absently, one hand moves down to his hair, to stroke it gently in a soothing motion. it also reassures Jakurai, to be able to touch Doppo and know that he's so near - unwinding his own tension from the week of caring for patients and worrying about his team and all.]

[He hates to worry Jakurai so much, actually. So if putting his head in Jakurai's lap can quell those worries his leader has just a little bit. He'll do it. He's tired, he's strung out, he's never in the best headspace.]

Sensei, you seem thoughtful tonight.

[It's said in the quiet space.]

Do I? I suppose I am.

[a pause, and then he continues.]

Right now I'm thinking about that I'm glad to have you here with me tonight.

I...besides Hifumi, no one is every really glad to have me around. So it makes me happy that you want me around. Is that wrong?

[He leans into Jakurai's hands. Bathing in the affection.]

My boss got onto me again today, it's a wonder I still work there...
