[He promised Hifumi, on the nights that he was able...he would come pick him up from work and walk home with him. They lived a short train ride away, on the outskirts of Kabuki-cho. But it was always safer to walk in pairs at night. But he didn't anticipate tonight being any different than any other night he has done this for Hifumi.

Except the chants of "Hifumi~" coming from right outside the building.

Of course that would happen. Hifumi is the most popular host in Shinjuku.]

Oi, Hifumi, let's go. Sorry ladies. He'll be back tomorrow.

[GUESS WHO IS STILL OBLIVIOUS.]

[Except Hifumi isn't waiting for Doppo like he usually is, chatting up any girls who might still be around. Unsurprising, seeing how there's at least twenty women outside right now and Hifumi's boss knows about the whole gynophobia thing.

When he hears Doppo, though, Hifumi peeks out.]

Ah, Doppo! Has the crowd left yet? They're all lovely, but I don't want to be mobbed!

Where is your jacket? And no, the crowd is still here.

[Doppo, who is tired as fuck is wading through this crowd of women. He will drag Hifumi home if he has to.]

What is going on, huh?

I've got it right here, see?

[He's only got it half on, which is sometimes enough to do the work, so it's easy to take it off and demonstrate to Doppo that he has the jacket. He's been trying to get used to being around women without the jacket on, and they're all far enough away that he can do that.

This was a mistake, as three of the women closest to the door take this moment to yank the jacket out of Hifumi's hand, screeching about having something of "Hifumin's".]

[Annnnnd Doppo is diving to go snatch it back. Because that is the ONLY jacket that will keep Hifumi from losing his shit. Sure, he has more that will do similar. But this one is the one he feels most confident in.]

[hostjacket]

[The women are so angry at Doppo for trying to get the jacket back that they don't even notice how pale Hifumi goes and how he starts to shudder behind the door.]

D-doppochin, it's fine, it's fine, please don't get hurt...!

[One woman tries to elbow Doppo in the face as he goes for the jacket]

[But what if he were to threaten them for the jacket? It has certainly got to threatening levels at this point. So much threaten; so little time.

He pulls out his hypnosis mic, even switches it on. The terrifying glare of the screens of his hypnosis speaker floating behind him.]

Elbow me in the face again and you won't like me. Drop the jacket and go.

[hostjacket]

[That gets Hifumi to take a step out from behind the door, even as the women drop his jacket.]

Doppo, Sensei'll be pissed if you use your mic here.

[...possibly. Sensei may agree with Doppo, it's hard to say.]

[He steps forward, bending over and picking up that jacket.]

Get out, go. Before I make you go.

[He hasn't even brought the mic up to his lips.]

[hostjacket]

[They all flee, leaving Hifumi's now somewhat abused jacket on the ground behind the host himself.]

Th-they're gone, Doppo. Put your mic back, kay?

[orenosei]

[He didn't use it! He just used it to be threatening. He turns and puts an arm around Hifumi.]

Tch, they're all so annoying.

[hostjacket]

They're so not, Doppo, they're just really eager to see me!

[But he leans against Doppo with a sigh.]

My poor jacket though...

We can wash it when we get home, it's fine.

[Gonna start walking them home?]

[hostjacket]

I need to patch it up, too. They tore the cuff, see?

[Showing it to Doppo.]

Maybe I should see about, like, making replicas for the kittens to buy....

[Rubbing his back as they walk.]

[Shifting down to hold his hand. ]

I would have come early!

[Dragging him into the train. ]

The phone call and trip over'd take longer than that.

[Annnnd now dragging Hifumi out of the train and to their apartment.]
